Day four was the best History lesson I have ever had! Sam gave us a wonderful insight into makeup through the ages right from 1920’s until the present day. She had a number of lovely coffee table books to shows us the different looks, my favourite being “Making Faces” by Kevyn Aucoin.
As we went through the decades, we discussed the female icons of the times such as Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe (my absolute favourite!).
Sam did a two beautiful looks on Stacey for the tutorial. Half of Stacey’s face was a beautiful 1920’s look with a deep, block red bow lips, an iconic look of the era. The other look was a stunning 60′ look with bold eyeliner, big lashes and a bright red lip!
I got to work with the lovely Heather who was happy to let me do an iconic 60’s look on her. I chose heavy brows and brown eye shadow and finished off the look with some dramatic lashes!
